Two NPC's for my player's party (1st NPC Half-Orc Barbarian)

Gorem, Half-Orc Barbarian

From far southern deserts half-orc Gorem has ventured to northern realms to city of Lankhemaar. His quest is simple. To proof himself he is worthly. His mother was human barbarian tribeswoman who was raped by orc during an attack. She wanted to keep her unborn child, but from the very beginning of his life Gorem was concidered as evil, cursed and not worthy.
He learned his tribe's ways, but never did fit in. When he got into age of manlyhood, he decided to find his own glory in other parts of the world.

Gorem is loyal, but hates greenskinned as one of those races did make what he is. He is fiery warrior and never surrenders. If he wasn't skilled warrior, he would be long dead pursuing his true identity.

Francis Fanfingers - Halfling thief

I haven't generated my own character yet for D&D, so here it comes. This is actually NPC, but I'll roll him up for laughs.
I decided, that he will be level 2 so I can also see that how gaining a level affects a character, so I can prepare in advance when my player does so.
I first make 1st level character. Then add his second level modifications on top of that.

INSPIRATION:

Francis, he lives in a big city. Well, he calls it "opportunity". As city is crowded and main market place of the area, there are always new faces, new stories to be heard and old stories to be told (if someone wants to listen). And of course plenty of pockets to pick.
Every day for Francis is a new adventure. "How could I get on top of that building?" "How much gold can I scrap today to spend in tavern?" "What is that traveller's story?"

DnD character Luv Mina - short motivational story

Okay, now we got clear image of what we will play with DnD. Perfect World (previous posts). I think we will make the adventure from the scrap. Won't detail world too much but will use the knowledge of mmorpg and colour the rest ourselves.

We had discussion just few minutes ago about this campaign and agreed about it. I was keen to start right away. It's a bit late, so not much time to play but just to... open the cork for this game.

I asked my player (Countess Samael) to write a small text about Luv Mina so we have some idea where she is coming and where she is going. She is a bit tired and wasn't that interested into doing it. So I asked her to put few sentences together so we can start.

And here is introduction to Luv. I suppose he will write her character more detailed later though.

(Originally this text was written in finnish, poor translation here is by me.)

I was born in poor family at Eremites Village. My elf father worked at the village as blacksmith and supported our family with his slight income. As the only child I was my parents wanted to give me the most experience rich childhood, so my mother went to Pengchang Inn to work as a sort of guide and I was with her.
Penchang Inn is a large fortified inn with services like stables, blacksmith and leatherworker of it's own with small fields inside it's walls what also leads travellers to humans main city, Sword City.

Pay wasn't that good, but I had a change to see all those different travellers from ordinary people to real warriors. Many shiny armors both from scales of dragon to ones made of leather. Most valiant of those warriors rode past the inn with their large horses and watching them ignited a spark inside me.

My parents couldn't offer me that all I would have wanted and even though my father was an elf, he was not that respected amongst his kind so he couldn't have better work at his home town.

When I grew older, I started to spend time more and more with my mother at Pengcheng Inn and it's surroundings and I learned I possess powers my parents dont. I could cast spells. My days went fast secretly practising and learning to control my skills.

Later I started to work and earn small income what I used to buy myself a spear, crossbow and other supplies. I had seen adventurers so often and wanted so much to be one of them. My parents didn't know about me leaving as I didn't tell it for them. I just left a note, where I told my lust to see the world. I guess I broke their hearts but I had to follow my heart.

So, one night I left with my equipment to see the world my first goal to reach Sumer Camp across the river. Maybe there I could find something for young sorceress.

D&D character and campaign planning - Character portraits

These pictures are from mmorpg Perfect World my-en server. Reason why I post them here, I will run my DnD campaign in Perfect World!

This beautiful young lady is Luv Mina. Main character (character "sheet" here)

Here are few characters I will make as NPC's. I hope my player who rolled her PW character for DnD will be thrilled meeting our alternative characters in mmorpg!

Azathara is werefox, what basically is a half furry half hottie. And that character class can turn into fox. Also they can tame pets to use in combat... Not sure what race in DnD would do that part. Sorcerers got familiars... bur race. Maybe I gotta homebrew one.
Another chick on the right is ~NeoSlut~ (my character grau). She is human mage. I think she will be a wizard maybe. But if I introduce her as a NPC in my DnD game maybe I should came up with a better name, don't you think?

SaulCold. This is my main character in PW. Actually he got his name from one rpg NPC, and now I will make from my mmorpg character a NPC again. What goes around and so on.
Saul Cold is a warrior class in PW and so shall he be in DnD also! He's my highest level character, has been officer in 2 guilds and finally was a guild master of his own. So I will make Saul definately higher level character in DnD.
SaulCold (in rpg and now on Saul Cold) is quite... original. He has changed his outlook many times and was a lady's man. In rpg before PW, in PW and will be in DnD. This picture on the right is from Saul Cold's emo period.
Another picture of Saul Cold after his emo-period before. Notice the flying sword. Yeah, in PW after lvl 20 you get flying thingie (different types for different races) to travel around. I think that won't work on DnD, or would you like to see above human city people with flying swords?

Elven archer called Izeree. Is there archers in DnD or should I make him a rogue? Rogue might suit quite well I think. And blue hair in DnD? Hell yeah.

At this point I have to say it sucks as I am not familiar with character classes and I cannot determine who will be what. I mean, NeoSlut will most definately be a wizard, but our werefox Azathara I am not sure at all. Druid maybe? Could Izeree be a ranger, as rogue doesn't quite suit him I quess.

Well, back to introducing characters.

This character is actually from International server, not My-En like previous characters. I had this Ankaran Werebeast in my-en though (that's why there is text Ankaran vol. 2 at the bottom). I liked the character so much I did it on another server also (this was character I rp'd 95% of the time). Ankaran would most definately be a barbarian class. In game they can change into a tiger, but barbarian + weretiger would be a bit too much? Would it? I think Ankaran would be good half-orc barbarian. Yes, that's it.

This strapping young lad... cannot remember his name. Also in PW International. But he is elf cleric. I think I will make this one to be a halfling cleric. There are already some elven, and I'd like to introduce other races also to my NPC gallery. So halfling cleric he will be.

As I will base my DnD campaign to Perfect World mmorpg, those will be NPC's to start with. There is an open slot for a dwarf though. Not sure do I have spare characters in PW to take dwarf's place or should I rip it from my World of Warcraft character gallery. Currently I cannot remember my dwarf characters from there, but I might as well create an original character as my gf/player hasn't played WoW that much so she doesn't have that many connections there. Can dwarf be a paladin? Don't know but what the heck, I will make Dwarf Paladin!

These are NPC's and character for my DnD - Perfect World campaign.

D&D character and campaign planning

So, we rolled our first D&D character for 3rd edition. Well, actually I didn't roll it as I will be DM but my gf rolled the character.

She wanted to do a mage and used her Perfect World mmoprg character LuvMina as an inspiration. In PW mmorpg Luv Mina is a mage, so in D&D she is a sorcerer. Half-elf to add some flavour, even though in Perfect World mages are human.

I give the character stats now, you can skip this section if you find numbers for 1st level character boring. But there will be more after this in this post!
