[V:tM] One Nosferatu haven

Amanda D'arc.

My haven

My haven is a little detached house just outside town. Subway goes near so it's easy for me to go to city when ever I need to, as I don't have a car or even a license to drive one. Not that the lincense is what I need, no, I don't know even how to drive a car. And gladly the subway takes only about 10 mins to get to town, so its really convenient and fast.

So, how shall I describe my little house, lets see...
Well, theres not much to say about it. Its quite small, but enough for me. 2 rooms and a kithcen, which is no use for me of course, and a bathroom. It also has a nice cellar, good for storing wine but useless to me again in that purpose.
Decoration is very simple, that isn't important to me. Most important thing is that it's safe from one thing I hate the most; sun.

The house takes its place in a small suburb area. A merely poor one. A few detached houses here and there with rather big yards comparing the ones in city. Small quiet streets on left and right side of my house and a path that leads to bigger road from behind my house. And beside that big road goes the subway. It goes on top of ground for a while before it lands underground. I can see car and subway lights from my livingroom window and I can hear the noise, but that is just like a sweet lullaby to my ears.

I got the house with a little help from a Ventrue. I have to pay a small rent so that he can cover up the expenses from electricity and stuff. Thats not ok with me but then again im not interested in trying to do something about it. So I guess I'm satisfied about the arrangemet we have, for now.

V:tM Nosefratu character. Q&A

These questions are from V:tM corebook. This chronicle has ended already, but I decided to post this Q&A part of the character creation. Character is not mine, but player's of mine. Character's name is Amanda D'arc and she is Nosferatu.

How old are you?
I was Embraced in the year 1991, when my mortal age was 25. I have been a vampire for 18 years now and if you look under the partly rotten and scaly skin, you can still see that i look about 25 years old.
What was unique about your childhood?
Nothing unique, i was bullied at home and in high school and because of that, I ended up using pills, drugs and alcohol more than i should have.
What kind of person were you?
Despite of all the bullying and hatred, i grew up to be a strong willed person with a beautiful mind.
I felt alone and abandoned, but never felt any sympathy for others that had same poor and miserable fate that I did. I loved to witness
the forlon and perilous efforts of other people as they tried to walk the line between good and evil.
So I guess I can say that I wasn't actually a very nice person inside, but everybody knows how easy it is to fool people with only a simple smile.
I think the only thing that kept me going instead of the sweet, tempting, warm and gentle choise of suicide, was a strong belief that someday I will rise above this shit and show to all, why I was born with middle fingers.
What was your first brush with the supernatural?
For a long time I belived and felt there had to be something more than just the life I've seen, but I never got any proofs of it. Still as I walked along dark roads, I was sure someone or something was watching me. Something unnatural.
A man came to me one night and I was almost hypnotized by the way he made me feel. He seemed to be a person who actually cares how I feel and made me feel special every time we met.
He kept saying: 'take my hand and I promise you I'll take you away from all this and introduce you to a life you are invited to'. I couldn't resist him and without hesitation I reached my arm and took his hand. Little did I know what a surprise he had for me. Oh, what a surprise indeed...
How did the Embrace change you?
He took me to a nice house, just outside town. He sat me down, poured wine to me and stared at my eyes for a while and I was sure I was soon going to fall in love with this mysterious man, but it was then when he showed me his true nature and attacked me violently.
It felt like my throat was slit with a blunt knife, but also like sharp needles easily piercing my fragile skin as he took my mortal life to verge of death. Only thing that eased my agony and fear was the sweet taste of my sires blood. How dazed I was from the taste of it and how alive I started to feel after drinking it, I cannot describe accurate enough. A hunger grew in me, deep inside of me and whilst drinking the blood of my maker, my creator, I felt the hunger ease a bit.
Of course his appearance scared and shocked me, adding his story about vampires on top of it. And after realising I wasnt going to be a beaty queen of any sort, I was really mad with my sire. But after time passed and I had to rely on him to tell me how to live my new life, I accepted my fate and that he had not given me but a curse, but also a blessing.
Who was your sire and how did he treat you?
I havent felt any discomfort around him. He hasn't been always the nicest guy, but im sure I havent been the model student either. He was more cryptic than open and I hope someday I can connect with him more so I can get to know him better. He was my role model for a long time, ofcourse I look at him with a high respect, no matter how asshole he can be sometimes.
He taught me the basics and a bit more about politics, how things are running and how they should be running.
Were you presented to the prince?
After I had accepted my new immortal life and had my widespread mouth stiched up, I was granted a permission to see the great prince fancy pants. Lots of blaa blaa and he accepted me as a new member of their fastly growing kindred family. How nice. I only had to sense the scent of my beloved prince and at that moment I knew we definately wouldnt be best friends and I couldn't care less about what he thinks of me, thats as fascionatin as a rats poo in morning cerials, but my sire gave me a constructive advice just to smile, like I would have done as a human.

V:tM - From idea to character

In last post I posted that not so serious discussion about new Vampire-character, and actually after joking about it we took a bit more serious aspect on it and actually, kind of had an idea for new vampire few-shot (one shot with few sessions ;) )

So, character will be assasin, from clan Assamite. But game starts where she is held captive, and all her memories are wiped out. She has no idea what has happened, where she is etc. So, game basically starts like this cliche action movie, but it is the purpose of the game. Action and fun.

Character is Assamite, who cannot remember who she is, who did she work for, where she is or why is she held captive. I first thought, that basic Vampire character creation for starting characters is a bit too low. I wanted player to have this character, what is really a capable assasin and can easily kill like 10 normal mobs without even getting seriously hurt. So, I decided to add points to character sheet for the player as I saw how it will fit, not based on any pre-written amount of dots to spend.

I know, character is a bit overpowered, but if we start to play this capable assasin, she should be cool and tough and skillful character, not a noob. We aren't intended to start play from 13th generation starting noob, and play untill she has diablerised enough baddies (or good guys) to lower her generation and gained enough experience points for delivering packets to be capable killer. Nah, I wanted to start straight away from the fun part, not start playing pre-fun part (to develope character by missions/quests/what ever to get to fun part...)

I haven't yet calculated how much character is already worth of xp, but will do it. To be honest, character isn't yet fully ready, as I am reading currenlty Player's Guide to Sabbat (in rpg.net) book for some neat new disciplines, merits, paths and such stuff. So, after I find out is there some really neat stuff in that book I could use in this character and chronic, I'll calculate how much the character is worth of points.

When I storytell (game master, what ever) I usually don't plan that much for the game, but mere go with the flow. Game developes while playing it, it is not pre-written adventure I am reading for player(s). But this time, I thought I'd write or plan some kind of starting point and ending. But I will keep the rest a bit open, so there is several ways to go to the end. It will involve betraying, action, assasination, all the good stuff great movies are made of. I will watch some movies for inspiration, I think anime will be big part for that.
This is not going to be dead serious vampires sitting around table and talking all night long Camarilla politics. No, this will be assasination action play with all awesome and cool stuff, and yeah, there will be blood, and vampires. You know, like some stupid teenager's or anime nerd's wet dream. This won't be regular World of Darkness vampires, no, but this will be damn awesome anime styled bloody action! With vampires. And ninjas, and machine guns. This will be so awesome!

I am sure, that V:tM rules will work just fine for this game. Even, if V:tM rules has been quite much discussed about how good or broken they are, for me they are neat. One of best rules there is, I even like oWoD rules way much more than nWoD rules. Don't know why is that. Call me fanatic, call me stupid, but old World of Darkness rocks! And now I will see, what kind of will be to play awesome Vampire: the Masquerade, but put more awesomeness in it. It will be like, double-awesome!
